I purchased several different packs/colors of this reindeer moss at Hobby Lobby the other day. They were on sale for like $3 each I think.
Well anyways, I saw a magazine clipping a while back and thought that a little moss would look great in some of my milk glass bowls. Gives a little spring color to a room I think, and makes for a very simple and sweet vignette.
A little escape to where I can have fun with my love of design and whatever else may brighten my day...

XOXO: Probst Decorating
Where have I been you ask? Try Chicago, Nashville, New Orleans and back to Nashville all in a seven day span. Granted part of the travel was for fun and the other for work, but it all equals NO SLEEP and busy busy busy for me! I have to say, while in NOLA I did get to stop at my favorite interior design store while my co-worker browsed her favorite second-hand store all within a mere 50 feet of each other :)
On a wonderful 75 degree day in New Orleans, I eagerly strolled inside Probst Decorating & Interior Design. A gorgeous (and very French) little shop on Magazine Street.
(I won't direct you to their web site because it's pretty bad and doesn't due the actual store justice.) After you enter the shop you will notice beautiful rugs all across the floor and furniture set-ups that make you feel like you're inside a magazine ad. As you continue to the other side of the store, there are rolls of designer fabrics that grab your attention. Everything is very pretty but not too fussy. As I walked around the store taking it all in, I imagined how I would dress a living room with all the pretty fabrics.
I would start with taking two of these chairs I saw at an estate sale and reupholstering them with a very simple, but textured white fabric. These would be my two accent chairs.
Then I would take the sofa I already own and recover two of the throw pillows with the white fabric above, as well as recover the other two with this gray and gold swirl fabric.
I would then make sure that the a gorgeous Dash & Alfred rug such as this one would lay across the dark hardwood floors.

Obsessed with this fabric by the way! |

Then take some white linen and create floor to ceiling window treatments and I'd be a happy girl.

Southwest decor
Hobby Lobby is one of my favorite places to explore. They ALWAYS have something at 50% off. And if it's not 50% off when you stop by one week, then go back the next because they flip flop the same discounts every other week. What's not to love about that? So as I was walking around the store recently I noticed how big the Southwest trend has become. Look at what cool pieces you can get to just add a little cowboy flair to your abode...
This look is very in right now. Just a small touch adds some funky charm. These decorators knew how to do it right without looking kitchy...

Lamps!
I've always been a decent Craigslist buyer, but not so much a seller. C'mon, you know it freaks you out a little bit not knowing who you're meeting up with, and then hoping the cash they give you isn't counterfeit! Well today I sold the second pair of some older lamps I had. The first pair went to a fine couple who just relocated to Nashville (for the music industry of course) and the second buyer came today - wahooo! So now I have a little extra cash in my pocket for some new ones :) I think I went a little too trendy the first time around and now I want to stick with the classics. Anyone of these styles would just make my day...

Alabaster Lamp: Okay, so I already own three of these - but who wouldn't want more.
Each one of the aforementioned lamps resides in this room. I'll take all of them please!
